Numeracy Leader And Intervention Teacher Role

Our school is seeking a dedicated Numeracy Leader and Intervention Teacher to join our team. This key position requires a professional with excellent leadership and teaching skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective numeracy programs, incorporating the Victorian Curriculum and contemporary instructional strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create and deliver targeted intervention support for students at risk.
  • Provide high-quality teaching and learning programs in numeracy, analyzing data to inform instruction.
  • Maintain professional relationships with students, staff, parents, and the wider school community.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practice in numeracy education, incorporating digital technologies and cognitive load theory into teaching practices.
Requirements
  • Hold full VIT registration and be accredited to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school.
  • Have a strong knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum, mental strategies, and Mathematics concepts.
  • Be able to analyze and use data to improve teacher practice and student outcomes.
  • Display initiative and commitment to ongoing improvement, with a willingness to pursue professional knowledge and skills in teaching and learning.
