Numeracy Education Specialist

As a Numeracy Education Specialist, you will play a key role in enhancing the numeracy skills of students in our senior school. You will be responsible for planning and implementing an engaging instructional program that aligns with the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) senior school curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Planning: Develop and deliver high-quality learning programs that cater to diverse student needs, incorporating differentiated strategies to promote engagement and understanding.
  • Teaching and Learning: Facilitate teaching and learning activities that are interactive, inclusive, and tailored to individual learning styles, ensuring all students achieve academic excellence.
Curriculum Development and Delivery:
  • Collaborate with the Curriculum Leader to develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that meets VCAA requirements and fosters a love for numeracy education.
  • Design and deliver lesson plans, unit planners, and assessments that are engaging, challenging, and aligned with curriculum standards.
Professional Standards:
  • Maintain VIT registration by actively seeking professional learning opportunities and documenting growth and development.
  • Exemplify professional standards as per The Australian Professional Standards for Teachers, consistently demonstrating expertise and commitment to the profession.
