About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to join our team at Hyatt Hotel Canberra. As a key member of our food and beverage operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our outlets, ensuring exceptional service standards, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of our food and beverage outlets, including scheduling, forecasting, and training staff.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as all operating procedures.
  • Develop and maintain service standards, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and order inventory, ensuring efficient stock levels and minimizing waste.
  • Conduct pre-service meetings, ensuring all staff are aware of daily operations and service standards.

Requirements

  • Supervisor experience in a similar environment.
  • Experience in a fast-paced food and beverage environment.
  • Wine and beverage knowledge in an upscale environment preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work with a flexible schedule, and be a team player.
  • Good problem-solving, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid and current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.
