Job Overview:

The Financial Operations Manager role is responsible for overseeing accounting, treasury, and business analytics. This involves working closely with the SVP of Finance & Accounting on financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and project accounting oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in monthly GL close and consolidation of the subsidiary.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and maintain GL records.
  • Oversee local statutory reporting, compliance, and the entity's going concern.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors, ensuring compliance with GST, payroll, and income tax regulations.
  • Prepare account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Manage accounts payable and payment schedules.
  • Coordinate project costs tracking with Project Delivery and Project Accounting teams.
  • Review purchase orders with Procurement.
  • Coordinate payroll with HR.
  • Prepare weekly cash and AP reports.
  • Maintain SOX404 compliance and internal controls.
  • Manage banking and insurance relationships, resolving issues promptly.
  • Maintain bond and letter of credit listings, assisting with the bond portfolio.
  • Participate in budget planning and assist with monthly forecasts and management reports.
  • Support business development and ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Collaborate across departments to support engineering, marketing, project management, and sales teams.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, transparency, and integrity.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • CPA preferred but not required.
  • 8+ years of accounting experience, including financial reporting roles.
  • Experience in public accounting and construction/EPC industries preferred.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS preferred.
  • Oracle NetSuite expertise is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, growth environments.
  • A passion for sustainability is a bonus.
