Quality Assurance Manager Position

This role involves leading the improvement and management of quality & food safety standards at our manufacturing site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the company's business plan and policies by maintaining and monitoring Quality Assurance objectives and activities.
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and enhance the Quality Assurance System and documentation throughout the site.
  • Lead execution, design, implementation, improvement, and management of hygiene, sanitation, and GMP Programs.
People Management:
  • Build positive relationships with the production team by engaging regularly and leading by example.
  • Coordinate training for the QA Team to ensure a correct balance of skills is maintained and future needs are met through clear succession plans.
  • Provide coaching and leadership to high performers to develop their career growth pathways.
  • Manage performance and disciplinary issues in line with Performance Management Processes.
Health, Safety, and Environment:

Provide safe working environments that are without risks to health. This includes making proactive recommendations to improve work efficiency and participating in audits and inspections.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in QA Management with staff management responsibilities in an FMCG business.
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience in Quality Systems and Internal Auditing Processes within the Food Manufacturing environment.
  • Leadership capability, including positive interpersonal skills, ability to influence, negotiate, resolve conflict, and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to lead a food manufacturing site towards quality improvement and maintain those processes.
  • Prior experience in leading audit preparation, maintenance, and improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in various systems and standards such as HACCP, SQF, and associated documentation compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or equivalent related discipline/Auditor qualifications highly regarded.
