Job Title: Senior Estimator

Develop your skills as a senior estimator by joining our successful estimating/quoting team.

We are recruiting a seasoned bid manager to oversee and manage the tendering/quoting process for our work across civil infrastructure, commercial building sector, and sub-division development sectors with a primary focus on commercial landscaping both softscapes and hardscapes.

This role is suited to an experienced estimator who has a track record of success within the landscaping or general civil construction sector. You will be responsible for large-scale quoting and involved in tenders which will require previous experience on medium/large-scale projects.

This role offers variety and long-term career options in a well-established specialist contractor providing a complete range of services from softscapes, fencing, retaining walls, pavements through to rock protection and some aligned civil construction services.

To succeed in this position you will:

  • Be able to produce accurate estimates and quotes
  • Have clear knowledge of end-to-end estimating processes
  • Have experience reviewing tender documentation and specifications
  • Experience using estimating/quoting software such as CostX
  • High-level computer and software skills in Excel, Outlook, MS Word, etc.
  • Experience quoting on landscaping/civil projects and take-offs with applicable software applications
  • Liaise with clients to meet their requirements
  • Work effectively with Project Managers and Supervisors
  • Be driven, self-motivated, and stimulated by winning new business
  • Enjoy being part of a small but dynamic estimating team
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and self-discipline
  • Work under pressure with prioritisation skills
