Job Overview

The Senior Contracts Administrator plays a pivotal role in the management of contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and commercial requirements. The position involves mitigating risks, fostering relationships between clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, and overseeing the entire lifecycle of contracts.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review, negotiate, and amend contracts to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor project progress and financial performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Oversight of project start up, procurement, delivery, and project close out to ensure seamless execution.
  • Prepare and submit monthly progress claims to stakeholders.
  • Manage subcontractors from onboarding to claim assessments, maintaining effective communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor commissioning activities, including documentation, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure adherence to procedures, policies, and contractual obligations.
  • Maintain relevant registers that track and substantiate the projects commercial position.
  • Contribute to the project commercial strategy and drive commercial outcomes.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 6 years' experience in a similar role, demonstrating expertise in contract management and administration.
  • Knowledge of contract law and regulatory compliance, with a focus on risk mitigation and relationship building.
  • Working knowledge of project administration and project control, including MS Office Suite and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Analytical skills and high attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Negotiation, conflict, and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
  • Qualifications in Contract Management or a related discipline, with a strong understanding of industry best practices.
  • Police clearance due to projects being on a Defence site, with the ability to meet country of origin and security clearance requirements.
