Sales Engineer in Industrial Automation

Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the industrial automation sector.
- Provide support for internal sales inquiries from various customer segments.
- Collaborate with Sales Engineers on customer visits and independently conduct market research through sales calls.
- Foster customer relationships by understanding and addressing their needs.
- Advocate for our products by demonstrating how they meet customer requirements in terms of quality, pricing, and delivery timelines.
- Follow up on leads generated by the sales team and marketing initiatives.
- Work alongside Pre-Sales and Engineering teams to develop tailored solutions for clients.
- Participate in marketing initiatives, including trade shows and industry events.
- Coordinate with Finance and customers to ensure timely account management and payment processing.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities in our CRM system.
- Acquire a comprehensive understanding of our diverse product offerings in industrial automation.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and applications relevant to our industry.
- Adhere to internal protocols for sales, engineering, and service operations.
- Engage in ongoing training and attend team meetings as required.
Qualifications:
- Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
- Proficient in interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Previous experience in sales, particularly in industrial automation equipment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively showcase our product range.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Proven ability to build and maintain professional networks.
- Demonstrated proactive approach to work responsibilities.
- Highly motivated and dynamic individual.
- Competent in using MS Office applications.
- Valid driver’s license.
