Workers Compensation Claims Specialist

As a seasoned professional, you will oversee a portfolio of workers compensation claims to ensure optimal outcomes for early and sustainable return to work with reasonable claim costs.
You will collaborate with medical professionals, employers, brokers, rehab providers, and other stakeholders to create effective return-to-work strategies. Your role will involve assisting workers and employers with the claim process, providing support, managing expectations, and ensuring timely access to required services to support return to work and injury recovery.
Additionally, you will assess aspects of liability and recovery relevant to legislation or policies while undertaking ongoing reviews in relation to entitlements and payments. You will also respond to escalations and provide coaching and mentoring to other members of the team.
Requirements- A minimum of 3 years of experience managing claims within the New Zealand Accident Compensation Scheme is mandatory.
- Residency in Australia is required for eligibility for relocation bonus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as you will be interacting with various stakeholders, including medical professionals, employers, and injured workers.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills are necessary for this position, as you will be responsible for creating effective return-to-work strategies and communicating with stakeholders.
- Careful consideration to detail is crucial for this role, as you will be managing stakeholder engagement and ensuring accurate information is provided.
