We partner with insurers, self-insurers, schemes, and employers to navigate complex claims environments, drive transformative change, and implement high-impact solutions that elevate performance and embed sustainable claims practices that optimise outcomes, control costs, mitigate risk, and deliver value across the entire claims lifecycle.

Your Opportunity

KPMG's Insurance Claims and Workplace Health practice is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced claims professional with a passion for driving meaningful change in the social-insurance landscape.

This is a 12-month max-term contract with the potential for extension. Our preference is for this role to be located in Brisbane but we would also consider Melbourne, Geelong or Sydney.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in conducting high-volume, high-quality claim reviews that directly influence the performance of personal injury schemes and self-insurers, as well as improve the experiences of injured workers and employers.

Responsibilities

  • Apply legislative frameworks and clinical guidelines to assess liability, treatment appropriateness and return to work strategies.
  • Perform targeted claim reviews to drive improved injured worker and claim outcomes.
  • Facilitate case conferences with treating providers to review treatment progress, clarify recovery goals and discuss alignment with clinical frameworks.
  • Identify claims management gaps, delays, or missed opportunities and provide actionable insights.
  • Deliver high level of customer service within relevant service charters.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure alignment on review findings and recommendations.
  • Utilise a variety of claims management systems, maintaining accurate documentation and data entry.
Your Experience
  • Proven expertise in personal injury claims management.
  • In-depth knowledge of workers compensation and/or motor accident legislation and regulatory expectations.
  • Demonstrated ability to critically assess claims and identify opportunities for improved outcomes.
  • Familiarity with conducting targeted claim reviews.
  • Strong attention to detail and written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and accurate claims notes and summaries.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities, with a focus on improving customer experiences.
Qualifications
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in a related discipline, such as allied health, mental health or occupational rehabilitation is desirable but not required.
