Lead Prevention Specialist

The Victorian Ombudsman plays a pivotal role in ensuring fairness for the public in their dealings with the Victorian public sector. Our purpose is to improve public administration, foster engagement within both public organisations and the government sector, as well as the broader community.

As a dynamic and demanding role, the Lead Prevention Specialist leads intelligence-based prevention initiatives, including Complaint System Reviews. This involves providing reliable and trusted intelligence, stakeholder engagement, and managing a high-performing team.

To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate strategic thinking, ability to build trust and confidence, and work collaboratively across all levels of the organisation. Core to success is obtaining a strong understanding of the Ombudsman Act.

We are looking for a collaborative leader with excellent people and project management skills and the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. If you have a strong background in regulatory governance and compliance, we encourage you to apply.

This is an ongoing full-time role that requires a commitment to working in a fair and reasonable manner, compatible with the Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006 and taking human rights into consideration in decision making.
