Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Technical Officer to join our team at Flinders University, supporting the development of teaching materials, coordinating equipment, and managing the setup and dismantling of clinical skills and simulation sessions. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for our Paramedicine and Medicine programs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will assist in the development of teaching materials, coordinate equipment, and manage the setup and dismantling of clinical skills and simulation sessions. Your role will contribute to the delivery of high-quality education and training in a collaborative setting. If you are passionate about advancing education and have experience working with medical technical equipment, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain teaching materials and resources for Paramedicine and Medicine programs.
  • Coordinate the setup and dismantling of clinical skills and simulation sessions.
  • Manage the inventory and maintenance of medical technical equipment.
  • Assist in the development of educational programs and materials.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe and supportive learning environment.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Experience working with medical technical equipment, including assembly, testing, and repairing.
  • Previous experience in a health education setting.
  • Well-developed computer skills, particularly in MS Office.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation, including risk management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
