About the Role

Flinders University is seeking a skilled Technical Officer to support the Academic team in the development of teaching materials, coordination of equipment, and management of clinical skills and simulation sessions for the Paramedicine and Medicine programs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for our students. This role requires a strong understanding of medical technical equipment, including assembly, testing, and repairing, as well as experience with high-fidelity manikins.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain teaching materials and resources for clinical skills and simulation sessions
  • Coordinate the setup and dismantling of clinical skills and simulation sessions
  • Manage the inventory and maintenance of medical technical equipment
  • Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation and risk management procedures
  • Provide technical support to Academic staff and students

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of experience and/or education and/or training
  • Demonstrated experience with medical technical equipment, including assembly, testing, and repairing
  • Previous experience with high-fidelity manikins
  • Current knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management procedures
  • Well-developed computer skills, particularly in MS Office
