Network Systems Engineer Position with Vet Advisory Group

At Vet Advisory Group PTY LTD, we are seeking a highly skilled Network Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in computer network engineering and be able to provide technical expertise in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure.

The salary for this position is approximately $120,000 per annum, depending on experience. This figure is based on national averages for similar positions in Australia.

This is a full-time position requiring at least 38 hours of work per week.

About the Role

We are looking for a Network Systems Engineer who can ensure that all computer systems run with minimum or no downtime. Key responsibilities include:

  • Configuration, integration, and deployment of PCs, software, and peripherals
  • Implementation, administration, and troubleshooting of network and security infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and internet connectivity
  • Managing LAN/WAN issues and administrating servers and workstations
  • Maintaining network infrastructure and providing recommendations for better performance
  • Installation and configuration of Windows Server 2012 R2, DHCP, DNS, and other services
  • Responsible for taking weekly and monthly server/network backups
  • Identifying faults and errors through network audits and recommending security controls
  • Providing technical support to vet resources and eLearning portal users and clients/subscribers

The ideal candidate will have a diploma or higher-level qualification in Information Technology or a related field, along with a recent minimum of three years of relevant experience working as a computer network engineer. A valid driver's license and ability to work independently and as part of a team are also required.
