Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to take on the role of Front Office Manager. This permanent full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity within a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the administrative team and ward clerks, ensuring effective hospital administration.
  • Oversee critical functions including:
    • Patient booking, pre-admission, admission, and discharge processes.
    • Management of financial obligations and eligibility, including funding assessments and patient billing.
    • Ensure accuracy in cash receipting and banking transactions.
    • Verify financial payments against activities.
    • Establish and maintain efficient workflow processes to meet performance targets.
    • Implement timely billing processes for health funds and third-party insurers.
    • Streamline patient admission and discharge workflows.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Administration qualifications in Front-line Management or a Certificate IV in Business Management (preferred).
  • Proven management experience is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of the private health fund claiming process.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Prior experience in managing departmental operations, including staff management and training.
  • Demonstrated leadership, time management, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Familiarity with hospital/patient management software systems is desirable.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
