Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Administrative Operations Manager to oversee our administrative department. This permanent full-time role is designed for individuals who thrive in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the administrative team and ward clerks, ensuring efficient hospital administration functions.
  • Oversee patient booking, pre-admission, admission, and discharge processes.
  • Manage financial obligations and eligibility, including funding eligibility and patient accounts.
  • Ensure accurate cash receipting and banking transactions.
  • Verify financial payments against activities and maintain effective workflow processes to meet performance targets.
  • Establish timely billing processes for health funds and manage collections of co-payments.
  • Streamline patient admission and discharge procedures for enhanced efficiency.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Administration qualifications in Front-line Management or a Certificate IV in Business Management are preferred.
  • Proven management experience is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of the private health fund claiming process.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Prior experience in managing departmental operations, including staff management and training.
  • Demonstrated leadership, time management, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Familiarity with hospital/patient management software systems is desirable.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
