Aboriginal Case Manager Specialist

The Aboriginal Case Manager Specialist is a highly skilled role, acknowledging the overrepresentation of Aboriginal young people in the criminal justice system and the need for culturally based approaches to diversion, rehabilitation, and community reintegration.
Main Responsibilities:- Lead statutory supervision, assessment, and case management of young Aboriginal people with complex needs, challenging behaviors, and/or high-profile individuals on court-issued orders or Youth Parole Board directions.
- This specialist role provides holistic services to increase opportunities for enhanced quality of life and community inclusion, primarily based in Reservoir.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Aboriginal Community, its society, culture, and issues impacting it.
- Thorough understanding of the Youth Justice System, including relevant legislation and the Victorian Youth Justice program principles and philosophy.
