About the Aboriginal Case Manager Position

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and skills in case management, with a strong focus on delivering evidence-based best practice in their work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a diverse caseload to deliver high-quality case management services, ensuring that each client receives tailored support to meet their unique needs.
  • Assess client suitability for corrections orders and provide expert advice to senior management and community-based teams.
  • Develop and implement culturally sensitive support plans for Aboriginal clients, taking into account their individual circumstances and requirements.
  • Provide individualized risk assessments and offer strategic guidance to senior management and community-based teams.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with members of the Victorian Aboriginal Community.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Aboriginal Community and its issues, as well as the complex dynamics at play within it.
  • Proven experience and expertise in best practice case management frameworks, with a particular focus on cultural competence and community engagement.
  • Ability to apply theoretical concepts in a practical and innovative way, reducing risk and maximizing individual outcomes.
