Job Title: Compensation and Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive compensation and payroll specialist to join our organization and contribute to delivering accurate and timely payroll services.

This role is ideal for someone who excels in precision, enjoys problem-solving, and values continuous improvement. As a key member of our team, you will support the Senior HR Officer (Payroll & Systems) in delivering precise and efficient payroll solutions while contributing to broader HR initiatives.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll with accuracy and within agreed timeframes.
  • Perform payroll checks and maintain personnel records in line with relevant legislation and policies.
  • Provide scheduled and ad-hoc payroll reporting.
  • Respond to payroll queries from employees and managers with clarity and professionalism.
  • Ensure compliance with industrial instruments, legislation, and internal policies.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of payroll processes.
  • Assist in managing the HR mailbox.
  • General HR Support:
  • Provide administrative support across HR functions.
  • Contribute to the development and review of HR policies and procedures.
  • Conduct research into HR matters and assist with HR projects.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience using a Human Resources Information System (HRMIS) for payroll processing.
  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation, awards, agreements, and policies.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience using Aurion HRMIS for payroll functions.
