About the Role

Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd is seeking a skilled Service Advisor to join our team in a permanent, Monday to Friday role working 38 hours per week.

As a Service Advisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Acting as a liaison between the Service Team, customers, and product/mining support representatives by engaging in effective communication on the scope of work, job pricing, and timeframes.
  • Facilitating invoice clarity and prompt payment by ensuring accurate and complete parts, labour, miscellaneous charges, and work descriptions.
  • Creating and maintaining records within the Asset Tracker system to ensure all movements of customers and HDAL assets are accurately recorded.
  • Ensuring customer requirements are accurately captured and communicated to the Service team through monitoring, following up, and maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Understanding and implementing action plans developed by Service Management and strategies designed to achieve monthly financial performance and revenue targets.

About You

A successful teammate will have the following:

  • Relevant Trade Qualification
  • Proven and demonstrated experience working within a Frontline service department within the heavy mining and construction industries
  • Sound computing skills including good working knowledge of Microsoft AX and Power BI systems
  • In-depth knowledge of Caterpillar machinery and a knowledge of products and services
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Certification in IV Office/Business Administration or equivalent qualifications or experience is highly desirable
