Job Opportunity
Deliver engaging tours as a Tour Director, providing exceptional visitor experiences at our historic site. This role involves leading groups through the tower, presenting historical talks, and coordinating tour logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow the schedule and duties outlined in the Guide Schedule.
- Ensure consistent high-quality tours by meeting visitor expectations.
- Adhere to opening and closing procedures for site facilities.
- Maintain displays and interpretive sites in a professional and clear manner.
- Implement safe practices to ensure visitor safety during tours.
- Identify potential risks and report incidents or near misses to management.
- Be flexible and adapt presentations to meet group requirements.
- Interact with visitors and staff in a friendly, professional manner.
- Provide feedback and suggestions on visitor experiences and improvements.
- Stay up-to-date on Lightstation history and relevant topics through training sessions and staff outings.
- Support other staff members in their duties.
Qualifications and Experience
- A tertiary qualification in Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Tour Guide in the tourism or hospitality sector.
