Strategic Government Liaison

The role of Lead Government Relations involves leading Anglicare WA's government relations by building strong partnerships with government stakeholders and advocating for key social issues. This includes influencing policy through submissions, consultations, and strategic advice, while monitoring political trends and legislative changes.
Key Responsibilities- Building and maintaining effective relationships with government representatives, Ministers' offices, elected members, and key stakeholders.
- Influencing policy through submissions, consultations, and strategic advice.
- Representing the organisation in diverse forums.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, combined with proven experience in government relations, public affairs, or a related area.
- Strong understanding of the political landscape, legislative and policy-making processes in WA.
- Ability to communicate complex information effectively.
- Competitive salary from $126,481 (pro-rata if part-time) plus 12% super and salary packaging.
- Salary packaging of up to $15,900 (which equates to circa $4K after tax) plus additional salary packaging of up to $2,650 for meal and entertainment expenses.
- Annual leave, personal leave, purchase leave and long service leave.
