Plant Operator Wanted in South-East Queensland

Join a dynamic team of professionals in the heart of Australia's agricultural industry.

Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Plant Operator to join their friendly team in Oakey, Darling Downs, South-East Queensland.

We're looking for someone who can manufacture animal feed to customer specifications, operate plant and equipment efficiently, receive raw materials, prepare and dispatch finished products, complete pre-operational safety checks, and participate in Workplace Health and Safety initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a current forklift licence with hands-on experience, proficiency in operating plant machinery, a current driver's licence, basic computer skills, and be physically fit as the position will be labour-intensive.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Manufacturing animal feed to customer specifications
  • Operating plant and equipment efficiently
  • Receiving raw materials, including weighbridge operation, forklift work, and unloading bagged materials
  • Preparing and dispatching finished products
  • Completing pre-operational safety checks
  • Assisting other team members as required
  • Participating in Workplace Health and Safety initiatives
  • Complying with all statutory requirements and company policies

What You Need:

  • A current forklift licence with hands-on experience is desirable
  • Proficiency in operating plant machinery
