The Workday HCM Principal Consultant role plays a pivotal part in bridging the gap between business and technical teams by solving complex intersystem problems within Workday.
This involves becoming an expert in Workday HCM and Learning products, with knowledge of design, configuration, testing, and implementation. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise to recommend best solutions based on client requirements, budget, and timeframe, adapting scope as additional needs are identified.
Key Responsibilities:
- Become a Workday HCM and Learning product expert with comprehensive knowledge of design, configuration, testing, and implementation.
- Leverage expertise to recommend tailored solutions based on client's specific needs, adapt scope as required.
- Facilitate design sessions and configuration decisions based on industry best practices and customer business requirements.
- Support clients through all project phases, ensuring seamless transfer from legacy systems to Workday HCM solution.
- Manage multiple tasks under limited direction, keeping stakeholders informed of changes or progress related to the project.
- Configure and test integrations between Workday solution and client-selected payroll and benefits providers.
- Take leadership position on projects or Collaborative/Workday Product Partner Lead and/or DA Reviewer roles.
- Display hands-on expertise of software, including loading customer data, moving configuration from tenant to tenant, and configuring business processes and security.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, HRIS, or related field is mandatory.
- 2+ years of Workday HCM and Learning functional implementation experience is highly desired.
- 2-5 years of Human Resources, Payroll, or Financial software experience is required.
- 2-5 years of implementing functional solutions with ERP or SaaS software is highly desired.
- Demonstrated functional experience in Human Resources, Payroll, or Financials Management is essential.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, effectively managing customer expectations.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint programs.
