Job Title: Heavy Vehicle Mechanic/Mechanical Fitter

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic/Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Dubbo, Australia.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of diesel engines, drivetrain, brakes, and suspension. They will also be able to work efficiently, maintain a clean and safe working environment, and meet tight schedules while upholding high-quality standards.

This role is suitable for those transitioning from Agricultural, Road Transport, or Light Vehicle Mechanic roles into Plant Mechanic positions.

  • Perform mechanic repairs and preventative maintenance on vehicles, plant, and mobile equipment
  • Ownership of repairs, working efficiently while maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Work to tight schedules whilst maintaining high quality standards
  • Coordinating with suppliers sourcing parts on quality and best price
  • Maintaining professional and clear communication with all staff
  • Liaising with supervisors and quarry managers regularly

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years + experience in a repair and maintenance role
  • Sound knowledge of diesel engines and emissions
  • Sound knowledge of drivetrain, brakes, and suspension
  • Ability to work flexible hours
