Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out mechanical repairs and maintenance of vehicles, plant, and mobile equipment. They will also be required to work to tight schedules while maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Carrying out mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance of vehicles, plant, and mobile equipment
  • Ownership of repairs, working efficiently while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Work to tight schedules whilst maintaining high quality standards
  • Coordinating with suppliers sourcing parts on quality and best price
  • Maintaining professional and clear communication with all staff
  • Liaising with supervisors and managers regularly
Key Responsibilities
  • To carry out routine and complex vehicle inspections and diagnose faults
  • To plan, organize and complete mechanical repairs and maintenance within tight deadlines
  • To source and purchase spare parts as required
  • To maintain accurate records of work completed and hours worked
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a repair and maintenance role
  • Sound knowledge of diesel engines and emissions
  • Sound knowledge of drivetrain, brakes, and suspension
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Full working rights within Australia
