Fostering Specialist
This role is a fixed-term opportunity to provide support to children and young people in family-based placements.
We are seeking an experienced professional with expertise in care services to join our team. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and delivering information sessions and training programs for prospective carers;
- Negotiating support plans and coordinating placement activities;
- Providing therapeutic and practical support services to children, young people, carers, and families using assessment, intervention, and short-term support skills.
To be successful in this role, you will have a degree qualification in social work or a related field, along with minimum two years' experience in the provision of care services to children, young people, and their families. You will also possess knowledge and understanding of child protection and out-of-home care frameworks.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders. A high level of empathy and understanding of the needs of vulnerable children and families is essential.
