Job Overview

The Technical Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing daily service delivery, ensuring robust safety performance and compliance with WHS standards across teams and administrative support staff.

This senior management position involves leading and supervising personnel to deliver maintenance outcomes in performance, quality, compliance and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing operational oversight, supervision and management support to Site Managers and Senior Regional Planners
  • Liaising with Schedulers and Maintenance Planners to ensure adherence to overall maintenance plans
  • Accounting for labour, repair parts and maintenance consumables during interactions with warehouse and procurement teams
  • Ensuring business processes are completed accurately and on time
  • Allocating maintenance tasks to appropriately qualified personnel
  • Mentoring technical and support staff and providing development and training support
  • Providing management advice and direction to Ventia personnel relating to procedures and compliance

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Demonstrated ability and practical experience leading diverse maintenance teams, managing maintenance activities, technical investigation, quality audits and technical inspections
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability and practical experience managing employee performance across multiple work groups and sites
  • Trade qualification in a technical field such as Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Engineering Mechanical (Fitter Armourer) or Engineering Technician (General Fitter)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to efficiently manage competing priorities and stakeholders at various levels of seniority
  • Strong working knowledge of computers and business-related software, especially Microsoft Office 365 applications
