Job Title:

Senior Workshop Manager

About the Role:

The Senior Workshop Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing daily service delivery, ensuring high safety performance and driving compliance with workplace health and safety standards.

  • Lead and direct maintenance teams to achieve performance, quality, compliance and safety outcomes.
  • Mentor team members and foster a positive, high-performing team culture.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide operational oversight assistance and management support to site managers and regional planners.
  • Liaise with schedulers and maintenance planners to ensure compliance with overall maintenance plans.
  • Manage labour, repair parts and maintenance consumables during interactions with warehouse and procurement teams.
  • Ensure business processes are completed accurately and on time.
  • Assign maintenance tasks to appropriately qualified personnel.
  • Mentor technical and support staff and provide development and training support.
  • Provide guidance and direction to employees regarding procedures and compliance.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated ability and practical experience leading diverse maintenance teams.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability and practical experience managing employee performance across multiple work groups and sites.
  • Trade qualification in a technical field such as heavy vehicle mechanic or engineering technician.
  • Strong working knowledge of computers and various business software especially Microsoft Office applications.
  • Australian drivers licence an advantage.
