About the ROLE

  • Preferred Locations: Adelaide, Melbourne, or East Coast (Open to Travel)
  • Full-time Permanent Role

As an Operations & Maintenance Manageryou will support nxzen within the Energy Assets Development CoE to deliver renewable energy O&M services. You will also support project origination and business development activities securing EPC roles on renewable energy projects where that relates to input on O&M services and pricing. The key responsibilities include:

  • Operations and Maintenance management of the solar farm to meet KPIs and contractual obligations.

  • Site safety processes and procedures, strong focus on preventive/predictive maintenance to ensure long term profitability, plant reliability and risk minimization.

  • Establishing the subcontracts to sub operations, maintenance activities, budgets whilst managing delivery of services to the budget.

  • Client and project site stakeholder management and reporting.

  • Collaborating with nxzen's Contracts Manager, Safety Manager, Project Engineering Team, Finance Team and other related staff involved directly or indirectly in delivering the service.

  • Managing subcontractor relationships including project scope and proposal review, provide all close-out documentation to the client at completion of the services.

  • Supporting transition periods at time of Award from development activities to project delivery and then as required supporting delivery.

  • Implement the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) to manage, plan routine maintenance (Corrective, Preventive work), work order creation and close out and generate reports.

About YOU

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from a reputed University.

  • Proven capability and experience in all aspects of Operations & Maintenance of solar farms.

  • Proven ability to manage a solar farm site as an Operations & Maintenance Manager.

  • Proven ability in managing subcontractors against their contracts.

  • Proven experience in health, safety and environmental management as it relates to all aspects of operations and service delivery.

  • Ability to appreciate the general engineering principles relevant to the site and communicate with executive level partners and customers.

  • Proven experience in power engineering (electrical) including on connection to the grid.

  • Proven capability and experience as a Senior Project Engineer including EPC turnkey pricing.

  • Proven ability to input to EPC project development.

  • Proven ability in planning, scope documentation, design, estimating and project scheduling. An understanding of time and motion studies as they relate to the repetitive tasks of solar farm builds is needed given the costs associated with the works.

  • Project development experience; Australian market experience.

  • Willing to be a team member and have the ability to be a self-starter.
