Position Overview: A permanent, full-time opportunity has arisen within our Dental Corporation's Risk, Governance, and Quality Assurance team. This hybrid role allows for flexibility in working from home or from various office locations. As the Clinical Governance Operations Manager, you will oversee all facets of clinical governance related to subcontractor management, data entry oversight, and quality assurance. You will also be responsible for comprehensive clinical and risk reporting, ensuring that all operational elements of clinical governance activities are executed effectively, including leadership, development, management, and implementation of robust clinical governance frameworks in compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on clinical governance requirements, fostering a culture that empowers staff to understand and adhere to quality, clinical risk, and patient safety standards, aligning with accreditation benchmarks.
  • Oversee team governance, quality assurance, and process enhancement initiatives to ensure optimal team functionality, including workload distribution and clinical risk reporting.
  • Manage essential clinical governance protocols and policies, including the clinical governance strategy, while coordinating clinical support for service delivery teams.
  • Facilitate improvements to key governance systems that enhance team efficiency and drive insights into quality enhancement initiatives.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and reporting of data derived from clinical governance activities, contributing to both internal and external reporting obligations.
  • Ensure alignment with industry standards and adherence to the governance, risk management, and compliance framework within the organization.

Qualifications:
  • Health professional or allied health practitioner with substantial experience in Clinical Governance, Quality, and Risk Management.
  • Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards qualifications in Quality Management, Health Administration, Clinical Governance, or similar fields are highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to support and lead quality and compliance initiatives.
  • Demonstrated capacity to enhance service delivery and clinical governance processes.
  • Strong skills in developing and implementing frameworks, driving outcomes, and delivering work programs.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of engaging stakeholders to achieve collaborative outcomes.
  • Experience in implementing organization-wide quality improvement initiatives and fostering a culture of high-quality improvement.
Security Clearance: This position requires a Security Clearance. The candidate must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.
