Position Overview: A full-time, permanent role is now open within our Dental Corporation's Contract Management and Governance team. This hybrid position allows for flexibility, with the option to work from home or from designated office locations. Reporting directly to the General Manager of Contract Management and Governance, you will be responsible for overseeing all facets of Clinical Governance within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all incidents are reported and managed effectively, with agreed corrective actions completed by designated personnel within set timeframes.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head Dentist to monitor progress and provide updates on shifts in priorities or strategies.
  • Oversee all Clinical Governance contractual documentation and manage internal reporting obligations.
  • Coordinate and supervise audit and compliance monitoring activities from both internal and external parties, assisting practices in completing necessary actions within agreed timelines.
  • Manage all Clinical Governance Internal Controls and Risk Management Assessment requirements.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of corrective and preventive action programs in conjunction with the Head Dentist.
  • Oversee initial and ongoing credentialing activities for contracted health practitioners, ensuring compliance with relevant quality management plans.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to support the safe operation of our clinical and business models.
  • Stay informed about regulatory and legislative changes within the dental and healthcare sectors.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery or equivalent with current registration.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in health management, clinical governance, or related fields are highly regarded.
  • Extensive experience in clinical control management, governance, and quality assurance.
  • Proven ability to apply risk and assurance frameworks to achieve successful business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management experience, particularly with geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and manage complex relationships effectively.
  • Proficient in report writing for senior management and board submissions.
