Job Description:

This role plays a pivotal part in shaping workplace culture, supporting leaders, and ensuring compliance across a geographically dispersed workforce.

We're seeking an expert in Employee and Industrial Relations to join our team as a hybrid HR Business Partner. This opportunity offers the best of both worlds – collaborate in person at our Sydney office three days a week, then enjoy the flexibility of working remotely for two days.

The successful candidate will have experience managing multi-site locations that are geographically dispersed, preferably in retail, hospitality, or health sectors. They will be responsible for leading employee relations initiatives, providing expert guidance, empowering leaders, driving cultural excellence, optimising workforce planning, and innovating through change programs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading Employee and Industrial Relations: Solve complex challenges, conduct workplace investigations, and ensure compliance with Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
  • Providing Expert ER/IR Guidance: Support and guide leaders through enterprise agreement interpretations, policy compliance, and dispute resolution.
  • Empowering Leaders: Coach and support managers to foster high-performing, accountable teams.
  • Driving Cultural Excellence: Champion diversity, inclusion, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Optimising Workforce Planning: Help leaders build and retain talent while achieving resource efficiency.
  • Innovating Through Change: Implement impactful change programs and collaborate on company-wide P&C initiatives.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will bring 8–10 years of experience in HR, ER, or a legal role, specialising in employee and industrial relations across multi-site environments. They will also possess strong ability to coach and influence leaders to foster accountability and performance, as well as a passion for building inclusive, high-performing workplace cultures.
