Clinical Healthcare Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team at Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation in Tennant Creek.
About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality healthcare services to the community of Tennant Creek and the surrounding Barkly communities.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our team to ensure the effective delivery of child and maternal health services, including universal and extended child health checks, and development of care plans for children with chronic conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality healthcare services.
- Undertake child health checks and developmental screening opportunistically and as required.
- Assist with the development of care plans for children with chronic conditions.
- Undertake case management and care coordination for children with complex needs.
- Coordinate and implement the Childhood Immunisation Program.
- Provide reports and support to Territory Families for children in care.
- Coordinate ear health screening and associated services.
- Provide education and support to the multidisciplinary team to improve staff knowledge and skills.
- Coordinate and facilitate specialist visits.
- Utilise electronic patient information management systems to identify care needs and document patient consultation.
- Provide education to clients and families on child healthcare.
About You:
- Current Registered Nurse AHPRA registration.
- Familiar with the CARPA Standard Treatment Manual.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to communicate sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, values, and beliefs.
- Ability to communicate effectively and culturally appropriate.
- Current certification to administer vaccines in the NT.
- Post Graduate Qualifications in Remote Area Nursing or Child Health Nursing.
- High level of communication, negotiation, and consultation skills.
- Knowledge and experience monitoring health and safety standards.
- Current NT drivers' license.
- Meet Public Health Orders for health industry workers in NT.
- Be fully COVID-19 vaccinated.
