At our institution, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team in the Oncology Day Unit.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality outpatient care to adult patients undergoing treatment for oncological and haematological conditions. They will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of safe and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and other forms of treatment
  • To administer medications, including chemotherapy agents, as prescribed by medical staff
  • To perform venous cannulation procedures, using sterile technique to minimize the risk of infection
  • To participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and plan future care
Requirements:
  • A current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications in oncology nursing or working towards
  • Proven experience in acute care nursing, preferably in an oncology setting
