Procurement Specialist Role

As a senior procurement advisor, you will support client agencies to deliver procurement projects and discrete deliverables including procurement planning, specification development, procurement sourcing and tender evaluation. Your sound knowledge and understanding of procurement policy and legislation, and your demonstrated experience in end-to-end procurement and contract management, will position you as a subject matter expert in your field. This expertise will assist your clients to enable informed decision on sound procurement principles whilst ensuring compliance with the Northern Territory Government Procurement Framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procurement Planning: Develop procurement plans that align with client agency objectives and ensure compliance with NTG Procurement Framework
  • Specification Development: Collaborate with clients to develop clear and concise specifications for procurement activities
  • Procurement Sourcing: Identify and engage with suppliers to meet client agency needs while ensuring value for money and compliance with procurement policies
  • Tender Evaluation: Assess tenders to ensure they meet client agency requirements and are compliant with procurement legislation

This role requires strong interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills along with the ability to work collaboratively and constructively to assist clients achieve effective and efficient procurement processes and outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Diploma of Procurement Contracting or relevant qualifications
  • Progress towards completion of a relevant qualification will be well received
Remuneration and Benefits:

The salary package includes base pay range: $134,227.00/yr - $144,271.00/yr, 12% superannuation, 6 weeks annual recreation and 3 weeks personal leave, 3 days Christmas closedown leave, 17.5% annual leave loading and professional development opportunities.
