Job Title – Senior Dams Engineer

Aurecon is a leading design, engineering, and advisory company that's been shaping the future for decades. We're looking for a Senior Dams Engineer to join our Land and Water business, where you'll play a crucial role in bringing ideas to life for our clients in the Energy, Resources, and Water Industry sectors.

As a Senior Dams Engineer, you'll be involved in all aspects of dam projects, from project conception to safe operation and management. You'll apply your skills in dam safety management, risk assessment, and surveillance, and work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders to deliver projects that meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage dam projects over the full asset life cycle, covering site investigations, feasibility studies, design and analyses, construction support, and dam operation.
  • Develop and implement dam safety management systems, including dam surveillance, safety reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Participate in building and maintaining relationships with clients, from proposal preparation to managing the financial and technical aspects of project delivery.
  • Work collaboratively across the business and with clients, bringing diverse skillsets together and innovation to complex problems.

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for a Senior Dams Engineer with a genuine passion for re-imagining problems and continuous learning to help shape the future. You'll have a civil engineering qualification, with relevant dam industry experience and an understanding of ANCOLD and State-based guidelines and regulatory practices. You'll also bring well-developed communication and technical report writing skills, with the ability to present concepts to a diverse range of clients.
