Job Title: IT Security Consultant

This role requires a seasoned IT security professional with extensive experience in managing and implementing various IT security solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of web, email, network, cloud, endpoint, data protection; mobile device management, identity and access management, backups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute information security projects to enhance the maturity of our IT environment.
  • Provide expert advice on IT security solutions, changes, improvements, and impacts.
  • Assist with the implementation and testing of IT security controls within our IT environment, aligning with architectural guidelines and operational needs.
  • Maintain and administer various information security controls, including technical assessments of new applications and services entering our IT environment, and security awareness training.
  • Identify opportunities for task automation and recommend improvements to enhance security operations, controls, and configurations.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in an IT security role
  • Proven expertise in various IT security solutions, including web, email, network, cloud, endpoint, data protection; mobile device management, identity and access management, backups.
  • Familiarity with IT security frameworks: ACSC Essential Eight, ISO 27001, NIST, and ITIL. Relevant certifications are desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and deal with ambiguity and complexity
  • Ability to identify and prioritize business needs, risks, and opportunities
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
