Senior Commercial Banking Relationship Specialist

A newly created Melbourne-based opportunity for an experienced Senior Commercial Banking Relationship Specialist has become available with BOQ Specialist. This role involves originating, retaining, and managing a portfolio of clients for either the Corporate Health or Property segment (>$10M) depending on the expertise of the banker.
As the Senior Commercial Banking Relationship Specialist in our Commercial team, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Promoting our commercial product offering to core clients to determine their financial situation and objectives, discussing options for the client and developing tailored solutions.
- Consistently meeting and/or exceeding individual margin and volume targets and performance objectives with a strong focus on book growth.
- The Specialist plays a key role in driving the direction and performance, including client acquisition, volume/margin, and primary client relationship and satisfaction.
- Partnering with the Associate Relationship Manager to develop ongoing and quality client relationships.
- Managing relationships with clients, leveraging and aligning internal resources to maximise client satisfaction and retention.
- In conjunction with clients' accountants, proactively working with clients to understand their financial objectives and help implement plans to realise these objectives.
To be successful as the Senior Commercial Banking Relationship Specialist, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in commercial lending, working on larger more complex deals.
- Previous experience in business development and relationship building.
- Experience in either the Health or Property commercial banking industry.
- A passion for business development and relationship building.
- Tertiary education desirable.
- Ability to meet KPI targets.
