About the Role

As a dedicated professional, you will be part of a new team responsible for managing secondary clearance activities within a national policing service.

The role involves supervising a medium-large scale team responsible for processing criminal history checks by resolving identity for individuals who have matched against national police records within a policing information system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing leadership and support to staff, including building team capability, managing staff performance, training staff, maintaining team cohesion, and ensuring the quality of outputs.
  • Reviewing, delegating, and setting workload priorities for the team, in alignment with the broader program of work, including ensuring adequate work coverage through the management of a team roster.
  • Demonstrating a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in work, with good organizational skills, including prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and key performance indicators set by senior management.
  • Using strategic and analytical assessment to analyze all available information and make accurate decisions.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • A Certificate IV in Government Investigations or a related field.
  • Australian citizenship.
  • A minimum Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
