Experienced Construction Director Sought for Underground Project

We are seeking a seasoned construction leader to oversee the delivery of critical underground infrastructure works within a landmark project.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for complex underground projects and a proven track record in managing large, multidisciplinary teams.

About the Role
  • Lead all underground construction activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to manage schedules and resources.
  • Provide leadership to construction teams.
  • Oversee quality control processes and risk mitigation strategies.
Key Responsibilities

As an experienced construction director, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and executing underground construction activities. You will ensure that all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with project specifications, regulations, and stakeholder expectations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 15–20 years' experience in major civil construction projects, with a focus on underground, tunnelling, or powerhouse works.
  • At least 5 years in a senior construction management role.
  • Proven leadership in managing large teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen and contract management experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • White Card and valid driver's licence.
