About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Underground Construction Manager to lead critical works within the Powerhouse Complex of a nationally significant infrastructure project in Australia.

This is an opportunity to work on a landmark project that will create its own legacy in Australian history, delivering on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all underground construction activities within the complex
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to manage complex schedules and resources
  • Provide strong leadership to multidisciplinary construction teams
  • Oversee quality control processes and risk mitigation strategies
  • Monitor budgets and drive cost-effective construction solutions
  • Foster effective communication with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 15-20 years' experience in major civil construction projects, with a focus on underground, tunnelling, or powerhouse works
  • At least 5 years in a senior construction management role
  • Proven leadership in managing large, multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong commercial acumen and contract management experience
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental compliance
  • Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite
  • White Card and valid driver's licence
