Family Support Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Family Support Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a broad range of roles and skills to provide specialist interventions for families affected by parental Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol issues.
The Family Support Specialist will deliver intensive support to vulnerable families, working in the family preservation area to strengthen parenting capacity and family functioning. This role is suitable for Clinical Nurse Specialists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and Social Workers with Level 3 qualifications.
As a Family Support Specialist, you will work closely with colleagues and leadership within the Violence Abuse and Neglect Service, as well as other health services, government agencies, and non-government organizations. You will be supported by clinical leads, medical staff, and child and family health nurses to provide holistic and seamless care.

- Develop and implement effective intervention strategies to support families affected by parental Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol issues;
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support;

- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote best practice and quality care;
