Job Title: Family Support Specialist
About The RoleWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated professional to work with individuals and families in need of support.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide effective service delivery through education, interventions, group work, assessment, referral, and case management within a recovery-orientated and person-led service environment.
- Develop and monitor individual treatment plans and maintain case management documentation, records, reports, and data collection, utilising established case planning procedures.
- Acquire and maintain a good working knowledge of referral and support options for participants.
- Work collaboratively and professionally with other services.
- Minimum of Diploma level qualification in a relevant discipline (AOD, Community Services, Case Management, Mental Health).
- Completed 4 AOD Skill Set Units (or willing to undertake/complete during employment).
- Knowledge of AOD/Gambling, Community Services, and Health Sectors.
- Demonstrated case management experience.
- Experience facilitating psychoeducation and therapeutic groups to diverse populations.
- Capacity to deal with unpredictable situations and behaviour utilising de-escalation techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to deal with problems associated with substance abuse, gambling, and mental health conditions.
- Experience working with people from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background and from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and religions.
- At least two years' experience in recovery, if applicable.
- Current Driver's License.
- Current and valid Working with Children Check.
- A willingness to undergo a National Police Check.
