Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical IT Support Specialist - Infrastructure to join our APAC IT operations team. This role will involve managing and maintaining the production, test, and development infrastructure supporting client solutions, primarily Windows and Linux, with some work on Solaris and VMware platforms. The successful candidate will possess excellent technical skills, strong communication abilities, and a disciplined approach to change management and system documentation.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage incident tickets and tasks to completion in accordance with SLAs, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Maintain a large estate of mission-critical servers running customer applications.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot production faults, making recommendations for effective resolutions.
  • Provide support to internal teams, including application teams and DBAs.
  • Proactively monitor servers and related infrastructure.
  • Patching and vulnerability remediation.
  • Plan, document, communicate, and execute planned changes through the change management process.
  • Offer out-of-hours support for scheduled work and participate in an on-call roster as required.

Essential Requirements

  • Degree-qualified in information technology or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Industry certification in Solaris, Linux, Windows, VMware, and/or Networking.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of experience in Windows and/or Linux administration, preferably in a medium-to-large IT environment with over 100 servers.
  • Experience supporting, patching, and building VMware ESX environments.
  • Knowledge of high availability services.
  • Server backup skills.

Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000-$110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a competitive remuneration package, including benefits such as health insurance, superannuation, and generous leave entitlements.
