About the Role

As a Safety Business Partner at dnata, your primary responsibility will be to deliver a sustainably safe operation by leveraging expertise in safety, compliance, risk management, and incident investigation.

You will engage with all business streams addressing day-to-day operational challenges and foster a culture of safety and accountability throughout the organisation.

The role is based in Sydney, Melbourne, or one of our Regional Ports (Brisbane, Perth, or Adelaide).

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with local leaders to identify improvement initiatives for enhancing safety protocols.
  • Support health and safety consultative processes within designated locations.
  • Coordinate risk assessments to identify, control, and mitigate workplace and operational hazards.
  • Engage with frontline staff to ensure adherence to safety standards and policies.
  • Lead investigations into incidents and near misses, ensuring thorough analysis and follow-up.
  • Develop and implement sustainable corrective action plans, offering guidance to leaders.
  • Oversee safety IT systems, incident reporting, and necessary actions.
  • Cultivate a positive safety culture by promoting awareness, engagement, and accountability.
  • Encourage safety concerns and suggestions for improvement.
  • Utilise data analytics to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare regular reports for management, highlighting key safety metrics.
Requirements
  • Certification IV in Health and Safety.
  • Proven experience in risk assessment and incident investigation.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of AU$90,000 - AU$120,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
