We are seeking a skilled Risk Management Specialist - Technology Oversight to provide independent oversight, review, and challenge of our technology risk profile. This role involves valuable insights derived from emerging trends and industry developments.

This opportunity allows you to make a significant impact on our technology strategy and risk management.

  • Monitor and manage technology risks within our risk appetite
  • Oversee and challenge technology, cyber, and data risk management practices
  • Provide an independent view of residual risk exposure and adherence to risk frameworks, policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Escalate technology, cyber, and data risk matters to appropriate governance forums
  • Manage technology issues, incidents, and breaches

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in technology risk management in a large, complex organisation
  • Strong knowledge of industry cybersecurity standards such as NIST, Essential 8, ISO27000, and PCI DSS
  • Ability to identify risks and adjust resource allocation and delivery approaches accordingly
  • Excellent governance understanding and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated success in influencing and leading others

As a proactive and detail-oriented professional with expertise in technology risk management, you will effectively monitor initiatives to align with our risk appetite while explaining complex technology concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will collaborate across teams to manage risks and challenge controls, especially during periods of change.

Your role will be pivotal in shaping the success of our technology risk management at The Star.
