About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Associate with internal audit experience to join our Brisbane Risk Consulting Division. The successful candidate will have experience in business risk, business process review or internal audit, sound understanding of control documentation and assessment, and strong analytical skills. They will be responsible for delivering end-to-end client engagements, managing risk across medium to complex projects, and creating quality testing documentation and performing gap assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality risk management and internal audit engagements with oversight and guidance from a manager.
  • Understand clients' risk environments and utilize specialist knowledge to deliver engagement outcomes.
  • Develop engagement plans focusing on areas of higher risk and opportunities to add value.
  • On-site delivery of engagements, including managing client interactions and overseeing junior resources and coaching junior staff.
  • Work with managers to develop high-quality reports and engagement deliverables.
  • Contribute to commercial problem-solving through analysis, critical thinking, and logical reasoning.
  • Present outcomes to clients and internal stakeholders to influence decision-making.
  • Review and quality-check findings and recommendations in the context of the client's broader business environment.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in business risk, business process review or internal audit, sound understanding of control documentation and assessment, and strong analytical skills. They should also have demonstrated skills in managing risk across medium to complex projects, strong report-writing ability, and well-developed listening and questioning techniques. A relevant professional qualification or post-grad qualification such as IIA is preferred.
