Key Responsibilities- Provide psychosocial support to young people, carers, families, and significant others to ensure individually tailored services that meet the highest standards.
- Collaborate with the Orygen Recovery Coordinator, medical, clinical practitioners, and lived experience workforce to understand and manage young person risks.
- Understand and assist young people in achieving their recovery goals, including facilitating access to local service providers for clinical mental health, physical health, education, employment, eligible entitlements, and benefits.
- Promote Orygen Recovery by building and maintaining collaborative working relationships with health and welfare agencies and the general community.
- Minimum qualifications of Certificate IV in mental health and previous experience working in youth mental health, or extensive experience in mental health.
- A thorough understanding and experience in a psychosocial model.
- Previous working knowledge of common mental health and substance use issues faced by young people, and evidence-based treatments for major adolescent health issues.
- Ability to assess risk and follow relevant protocols to manage crisis situations calmly and effectively.
- Salary package between $73,804-$79,139 pro rata commensurate with skills and experience + 11.5% super + NFP salary packaging up to $15,900 + $2,600 meals card.
