About the Role

This is a 1-year maximum term position involving 15 hours per week. The Wellbeing Coordinator will join our Mental Health and Wellbeing Team, responsible for supporting wellbeing strategies designed to enhance the development of youth athletes in a high-performance sporting environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the development and implementation of wellbeing strategies with players in the football environment.
  • Manage the delivery of a wellbeing curriculum for players.
  • Attend training and matches.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key staff for a consistent approach to the development of players.
  • Provide individual support and guidance to help players pursue personal wellbeing and mental fitness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor qualification in Education, Psychology, Health, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to engage with young people and build trust and rapport.
  • Understanding of medical and allied health referral services.
  • Flexibility in responding to the unique needs of youth high-performance athletes.
